Follow up to my previous attempt at repairing a cheap DC Electronic Load. Applies to many similar models sold online:
• Repairing a DC Electronic Load Battery Tester
These are the models you find on eBay, Amazon, Aliexpress, etc.
Known as the DL24, DL24A, DL150, DL150B, DTL150, ATORCH, MakerHawk or no model name at all!
Usually advertised as a DC Electronic Load or Battery Tester.
Watch to see my upgrade to a Linear MOSFET and high performance thermal paste, with simple explanations and a real world demonstration.
Parts I used:
IXTH80N20L Linear MOSFET:

Chip Quick TC3-3.5G Thermal Compound:

Common Electronic Loads that can use this upgrade:
180W, with dual vertical fans, IRFP260, as shown in my video:

150W, single horizontal fan, IRFP264, but otherwise identical to the one above:

180W, Atorch DL24 or DL24P style with single horizontal fan, likely IRPF264 or Y140NS10 but I haven't taken one apart, 4 button interface, color screen:

IRFP260 (original) at DigiKey: https://www.digikey.com/short/5md117rw
IRFP260N (used in video) at Amazon: https://amzn.to/4aIlFoy
Some say the 'N'ew generation is not as robust as the original, even though it has higher specs.
