On October 3, 2025, Chancellor Heather H. Norris was formally installed as the eighth chancellor of Appalachian State University.
We were honored to host dignitaries from our sister institutions and the University of North Carolina System, and to have so many join us as we marked this significant milestone for our institution.
Chancellor Norris’ record of leading by example, serving to inspire faculty, staff and all who have worked alongside her, and her vision and commitment to student success will continue to shape the future of our university for generations to come.
