Story & Setting :
The game centers on James “Logan” Howlett / Wolverine, the classic mutant with retractable adamantium claws, enhanced senses, a healing factor, and a lot of history.
It’s a stand-alone story, though it shares continuity with Insomniac’s Spider-Man games. So it’s not a direct sequel, but it lives in the same universe
The tone is mature and gritty: darker, more violent, more emotional, exploring Logan’s past and inner struggles.

What We Know About Gameplay & Design :
The game is expected to lean into visceral combat — intense close-quarters fights, brutality, and a strong sense of impact. Wolverine’s claws, heavy melee, possible finishers or brutal takedowns.
There are hints of stealth elements or more “silent” approaches (i.e. sneaking up, ambushing) alongside more rThe setting may include Madripoor (a city often used in Wolverine/X-Men lore) or similarly gritty, crime-filled, morally complex locales.aw, blunt combat.
The game is intended to fully leverage PS5 hardware: better visuals (ray tracing etc.), haptic feedback, fast loading, etc.

Writers / Creative Team: Some of the writing team includes folks who have worked on Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2.
It was subject to a leak/ransomware incident, which revealed some assets and gameplay/story elements. Development seems to still be proceeding.
It is not yet confirmed how large the world will be (open world vs semi-open vs more linear), though reports/sources hint at possibly semi-open environments.
