How to Become an MITP Resident | 2025

Moldova Innovation Technology Park is the first IT park established by the Government of the Republic of Moldova for a period of 20 years, meaning until the year 2037.

Currently, over 2,400 residents benefit from:
✅ A single tax of 7% on sales revenue;
✅ The IT Visa program, which facilitates immigration documentation for foreign nationals;
✅ Networking events;
✅ The Learning Center program on legal and tax topics;
✅ Exclusive local and international promotional activities.

Who can become a resident of the IT Park? An IT Park resident can be any legal or natural person who:
✅ Is registered as an entrepreneur in the Republic of Moldova;
✅ Generates at least 70% of their turnover from eligible activities;
✅ Is not undergoing insolvency, liquidation, or restructuring procedures, and whose activity is not suspended.

What are the eligible activities that can be carried out in the IT Park? The Law on IT Parks lists the eligible types of activity in the fields of IT and tech, research and development, creative industries, and the BPO sector, summarized as:
✅ Software and video game development,
✅ IT consulting and education,
✅ Website and portal administration,
✅ Experimental research and development based on high-performance technologies,
✅ Manufacturing of microprocessors and integrated circuits,
✅ Specialized design,
✅ Animated films and special effects,
✅ Creation and editing of music intended exclusively for video games,
✅ Data processing,
✅ Contact center services for export (including logistics),
✅ Provision of specialized staff exclusively for export.

What is the application process? The application process is simple, transparent, and free of charge. In the first stage, you will submit an online application and accompanying documents via the website mitp.md. To submit your application, you will need: the applicant’s registration documents, a bank account opened in MDL at a licensed bank in the Republic of Moldova, and an electronic signature. In the second stage, the application file is reviewed within 7 working days. As a result, a Registration Decision and the Residency Contract will be issued. The third stage involves signing the Contract within 30 days and obtaining the Residency Certificate. Starting from the following month, the resident applies the single tax of 7% on turnover.
