This seminar is part of the monthly Issues in Aging series that highlights current research and perspectives on aging-relevant issues from experts in medicine, social work, psychology, law and more. This session, "Multi-tissue Molecular Profiling: Precision Medicine for Neurodegerative Diseases," features Carlos Cruchaga, PhD, professor of psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Cruchaga’s research interest includes genetic and multi-omic approaches to identify novel variants, genes and pathways implicated on neurodegeneration, with the ultimate goal of understanding the biology of neurodegenerative diseases.
