I recently picked up an old @SurlyBikes4130 Pacer. This steel road bike model has been out of production for a few years, but there are still hundreds of people out there who still ride and appreciate this bicycle.
There are only a small handful of videos out there where Pacer owners have documented their restoration process, so I figured I would take the time to make a video as I went through my own rebuild journey.
It was a lot of fun, and though I have yet to take any significant rides on this bike (though one is coming up very soon!), I'm loving how it feels and responds.
Component highlights include SRAM Rival compact double groupset, vintage Mavic rims, a Velo Orange stem, and a custom blue-sparkle paint job.
