This is an 2011 GMC Acadia that had a bad transmission. I removed the drivetrain as an assembly to gain access to the transmission for replacement. Barring any serious issues, the sub frame can be dropped out of the bottom of the car with the engine and transmission still on it within a few hours time. I went ahead and replaced the water pump and serpentine belt as preventative maintenance.
