A young Vietnamese refugee is on the run and somehow washes ashore on Butterfly Island, where a family befriends him. Meanwhile a land developer has designs on spoiling the island's natural beauty with a tourist resort and there's your conflict. The first Australian series to give an Asian actor one of the lead roles, the 1985 drama aired for three seasons. The cast included Terry Markwell, looking younger than when she became the first IMF agent to disavowed by the Secretary (in the 'Mission: Impossible' sequel series).
