Dear everyone,
Today we are going to learn the meaning and how to use SHOULD HAVE, COULD HAVE and WOULD HAVE.
These are called modal verbs or sometime they are called "modals of lost opportunities".
The Phrase of Simple Past just tells what happened and Past Modals tell what could have, would have, and should have happened.

Formation:
Should have + [past participle verb]
Could have + [past participle verb]
Would have + [past participle verb]

Should have
Should have means that something did not happen, but we wish it had happened. We use should have to talk about past mistakes.
Should have + [past participle verb]

Examples:
I should’ve bought the computer when it was on sale.
I should’ve studied English harder.
I should’ve listened to my mother.
I’m sorry I shouldn’t have yelled at you yesterday.

Could have
Could have means that something was possible in the past, but it did not happen.
Could have + [past participle verb]

Examples:
I could’ve been a doctor if I studied harder.
I could’ve gone to university, but I decided to work for 2 years.
I could’ve lived in the US if I married her.
I could’ve married her but I didn’t.

Would have
Sentence with Would Have shows that you wanted to do something in the past, but you could not.
Would have + [past participle verb]

Examples:
I would’ve called you, but there was no phone service there.
They would’ve been here already if they had left earlier.
If I had received the money, I would’ve given it to you.
