Martin Kippenberger and Albert Oehlen met in late 1970s Hamberg, and spent the next decade painting, exhibiting, and partying together. They quickly cultivated a hard-drinking, rebellious reputation and sought to upend the art world whilst playing a central role within it. In this episode of Expert Voices, join Alex Branzcik, Head of Contemporary Art Europe, in an exploration of the relationship that came to define the 1980s German art scene.
