Installed in 1997 and originally named The Flight of The Canyon under ASC ownership, The gondola has changed quite a bit over the years. In 2010 when the neighboring Orange Bubble Express was being constructed, the bottom terminal for Red Pine was relocated as it was originally built right where Orange Bubble's bottom terminal is now. Because of the relocation, an angle station was built 3 towers up from the return to avoid relocating the entire lift. The angle station is also the only Competition terminal to have a Leitner Poma name on it.
Red Pine is a Poma Competition 8 passenger Gondola, The gondola has an hourly capacity of 2,800 PPH, a length of 6,679 Ft, and a Vertical Rise of 1,119 Ft. The gondola has a maximum line speed of 1,000 FPM and typically runs around 950-975 FPM during the Winter, in this recording the lift was running at 850 FPM.
The lift utilizes Poma's double TB-41 grips and 1994 style towerheads.
