Exploring the Dachstein Giant Ice Cave and Mammoth Cave in Austria

Explore the Gian Ice Cave and Dachstein Mammut Cave in Obertraun, Upper Austria with me. It is located in Krippenstein Mountain of the Alps’ Dachstein Range. Obertraun is about an hour away from Bad Ischl by public transportation. You can also visit it from Salzburg. It is about a 2-hour drive from Salzburg. The hike to the Gian Ice cave takes about 20 minutes from the first section of the Krippenstein Station of the Dachstein cable car line. The hike to the Mammut Cave takes about 15 minutes from the same station. The hike to Gjaid- Alm takes about 20 minutes from the third section of the Dachstein Krippenstein Cable Car.
