In this video, we replace the IF transformer leads, verify that there is no AC on the chassis, and demonstrate that the set works. After completing this video, I came across a paper by Scott Morrison, http://web.mit.edu/sdmorr/Public/proj..., that details a very similar restoration of a radio in the Emerson EC series. It's very worth reading, as it not only details many of the same issues addressed in this series of videos, but also walks the reader through the circuit theory behind the superheterodyne design.
