Silent Night played on a vintage Prewar Martin 0-17 guitar

Hey guys, as the end of the year is getting closer, i have to try to record a few new holiday tunes, and i thought some of these could get interesting results fingerstyle on flattop guitars, but as i still suck please be patient.

Here is Silent Night ( Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht) and it was composed somewhere between 1815 and 1818 by a priest who s name was Joseph Mohr who came up with the lyrics and asked the organist Franz Xaver Gruber to compose the melody by the end of 1818.

I'm playing a 1933 Martin 0-17, just out of neck reset. The guitar sounds great, full mahogany, nice wide neck, and super warm sound. It is strung with Dean Markley Back Hawk Phosphore bronze strings gauge 12-53 and the sound is captured by both a AEA R84A active ribbon microphone and a Neumann TLM 103.
