ODS 50w clone, Grand Tweed Deluxe (5E3), or Princeton Reverb (AA1164 clone) – which amp should I bring for my blues band? In this video I compare three of my favourite amps head-to-head to find the one that delivers the right tone and feel for my blues setup.
• ODS 50w clone – Dumble/Fuchs ODS -inspired tone w/Celestion Heritage G12-65
• Grand Tweed Deluxe (5E3) – with a Celestion Blue 12"
• Princeton Reverb (AA1164 clone by Amp Doctor, Poland) – with a George Alessandro Signature Eminence GA10 SC64 10"
1978 Fender Telecaster – Evil Sheep bespoke vintage Tele pickups (single coils)
The pedals in use: Mad Professor Sweet Honey Overdrive Deluxe, Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay, Neunaber Wet Reverb, Strymon El Capistan and Fulltone Supa-Trem.
I also play a blues classic you might recognise along the way.
Which amp would you take to a blues gig?
