American singer Evelyn "Champagne" King was popular in the disco era. She was known for her hit songs Shame, I'm in Love and Love Come Down which reached number one of the U.S R&B charts. Evelyn "Champagne" King is one of the few disco stars who successfully weathered the decline of disco era and have more hits through the 1980’s. Till now she still records and tours frequently. She was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame in 2004. She released several albums which included Smooth Talk 1977, Music Box 1979, Call on Me, 1980, I'm in Love 1981, Get Loose 1982, Face to Face 1983, So Romantic 1984, A Long Time Coming (A Change Is Gonna Come) 1985, Flirt 1988, The Girl Next Door 1989, I'll Keep a Light On 1995 and Open Book 2007.
