The Ohio State University Marching Band marches onto Columbus Commons and to the Picnic at the Pops stage where they play traditional school songs and other selections, July 26, 2014. The Band plays an annual concert with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra at Columbus Commons, an outdoor stage in downtown Columbus, OH. The OSU Marching Band was made up of about 120 members for this performance, smaller than the 225 member band fielded during the academic year. Songs include "Script Ohio", "Across the Field", Beautiful Ohio", "Hang on Sloopy", the theme from Superman, the movie, and several other favorites. Drum Major David Pettit led a crowd of spectators during Script Ohio and touched the top of his hat to the ground (not just the plume) his back-bend during two numbers!
