In today’s video, I react to Choy’s breakdown of the current state of Dead by Daylight, where he explains how BHVR is actively shifting the game in a direction that alienates hardcore, long term players in favor of appeasing the rage quitting casual audience. According to Choy, these changes are not only unsustainable but they’re accelerating the decline of the game as content creators and veteran players either quit entirely or barely play anymore.

I share my own perspective as a content creator who has been deeply involved in the community for years. I talk about how difficult it is to keep creating meaningful DBD content when the game is being mismanaged this badly, why so many creators feel the game is dying, and how the direction BHVR is pushing the game hurts the people who have supported it the longest.
