In 1999, there was an idea for Toy Story 3. Shortly before the end of development of Toy Story 2, Pixar's John Lasseter pitched Disney's CEO on his vision for Toy Story 3, which would see Woody and Buzz in Star Command.
What would follow is a years-long saga of Disney and Pixar's competing interests and spite, all for a Toy Story pitch that would ultimately go unmade.
