Playing Demos:
Demo 1: We showcase the setup on a vintage Ludwig chrome over wood drum kit with 9 toms and dual 24" kicks in an untreated home studio room, highlighting the rich, warm tones captured by the EAD10.
Demo 2: We move to an acrylic Pearl Crystal Beat drum kit with a more average tom set up and dual 22" kicks in a typical home environment, demonstrating the versatility and adaptability of this dual EAD10 setup.
Quick Review:
After testing, we share our thoughts on the setup. We found that using two EAD10 sensor/microphone units with a single module significantly enhances the functionality of the EAD10 for double bass drum kits. The setup is straightforward, and the results are impressive, offering a perfect blend of acoustic feel and electronic versatility. The only down side being you'll need to buy a second unit (let us know if the trigger / microphone portion can even be ordered separately)
Conclusion:
We hope you find this guide helpful for your double bass drum setup with the Yamaha EAD10. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more drumming tips and tutorials!
