Victoria ‘Wezi’ Mhone was born on the 25th of May, 1992 in Ndola, Zambia. Wezi is undoubtedly Zambia’s most enigmatic and enchanting afro-soul singer and songwriter. She has continued mesmerising her fans, both young and old with her mellow, conscious
and uplifting themed songs from her debut EP – Uhai, such as Tiwepo and Nsiku featuring Maureen Lilanda.

In her own words:
“my music is a reflection of a society and a world that I want to be in. To live, soar and grow old in. My art, is for every soul that seeks life in its entirety. I only wish to be a blessing to myself and others.”

An ambassador, humanitarian and motivational speaker for various causes she holds dear to heart, Wezi has championed social campaigns such as ending child marriages, violence against women and also the needs of persons with disabilities.
Wezi has been a nominee in the continental Kora Awards, a winner of a Zambian Music Award, a Zambian Woman of the Year award nominee, a Runner Up in the Airtel Rising Star Competition and a three times nominee in Sun FM’s Kwacha Music Awards 2017.

Wezi’s hardworking persona and versatility is unmatched. She has performed amongst world class acts such as UB40, Boys 2 Men, Oliver Mtukudzi and Cassper Nyovest. Wezi has also performed with local heavyweights such as Pompi, Mumba Yachi, Maureen
Lilanda and James Sakala. Wezi performed at the Lake of Stars Festival held in London, UK as well as Glasgow, Scotland in March this year where she shared a stage with international acts such as the Frightened Rabbits (England), Manifest (Ghana), Faith Musa
(Malawi) and Bongiziwe (South Africa). She also performed at the Harare International Festival of Arts (HIFA), and alongside Patoranking (Nigeria) at the Mosi Day of Thunder festival in Zambia.
2019 she released her first studio Album called Leiloe and won The violet Kafula Most outstanding female artists Ngoma awards
