Laboratory tables and workstations have to meet strict end-user specifications, from durability and quality to ergonomics and utility. In this video, we will break down the most common types of lab workstations for different industries, appropriate construction materials, and most popular configurations.

Hi, I am Pavel with OnePointe Solutions, the end-to-end provider of laboratory furniture design, manufacturing, and installation.

Let's start with the basics. Who needs a lab bench? Well, any laboratory across any industry typically requires a bench of some sort. Whether it is to run an experiment, to house a piece of equipment, or well, from my personal research experience, to accidentally spill some hazardous chemicals. So depending on the type of work that you do, your laboratory workstation has to meet the following requirements:

If you work in the wet lab in a research institute or pharmaceutical company, typical lab tables are made of wood or laminate and may have different types of chemically and heat resistant countertops from phenolic to epoxy resins.
