Here is a video to show what I did to customize/personalize my Tamiya Super Hotshot. Shocks are Gmade reservoir type
Video mentions aluminum rod, but is in fact aluminum tube that is used to lengthen the drive shafts - forgot to mention the ends of the front universal drive axles need to be cut and flattened to a "D" shape - so it can engage better with jbweld, otherwise might not hold good enough. I used enough to fill the tube, then pressed in drive shaft till proper length was reached. Rough sanding it with 80 grit also helps.
Measure carefully your desired finished length of drive shaft universals -there is no easy "do over"
Wear eye protection when using dremel cutoff tools and working with chemicals. Good luck if you try!
