This Is How I Do My T Shot:

How To Inject Your Testosterone Shot (Intramuscular)

What You'll Need:
Testosterone Prescription (I have 200mg)
3 ML Syringe 22G X 1.5''
Needle 18G X 1.5''
Antibiotic Wipe
Paper Towel

Step 1 - Prepare Shot
Open Testosterone Box
Remove Red Protective Cap
Open Syringe (22G)
Twist Off To Remove 22G Needle
Replace with 18G needle & remove the protective cap
Insert needle into the top of Testosterone Vial
With the needle inside, carefully turn the vial upside down
Slowly draw testosterone into the syringe
** ensure there are minimal bubbles. It can help to fill the syringe to flick the top of the syringe to get bubbles to the top.
Push testosterone back into the vial and pull back into syringe again until there are the least amount of bubbles possible.
Replace protective cap and twist off the 18G syringe
Twist on the original 22G needle that came with the syringe

Step 2 - Prepare Shot Area
If you are administering the shot to yourself, locate the area on your thigh.
If you are having someone else administer the shot, locate the safe area to inject. (For me this is my backside)
Open antibacterial wipe, and wipe clean
Then let the area air dry

Step 3 - Inject Testosterone
Once located and dried, while bending at the elbow, pull your hand back (like you are getting ready to throw a dart)
Then firmly insert the needle into the muscle.
Draw back the needle just a little bit to ensure no blood is drawn.
(**If blood is apparent, remove the needle and relocate your shot into a different area of the muscle.**)
Once no blood is drawn, slowly push the testosterone into the muscle until the syringe is entirely injected.
When ready, quickly pull out the syringe and immediately place a paper towel on the injection site and rub the area. Not firmly pushing down, but just enough to ensure the testosterone is not coming back out of the injection site.
If needed, place a band-aid on the area.

Step 4 - Discard Materials
If you do not have needle-disposal programs in your area:
-- Put needles into a container that has a lid and is strong enough to keep the needles from sticking through the sides, such as a liquid detergent bottle or metal can.
-- Throw the container away before it is full all the way to the top.
-- Put the container lid on tight and use heavy tape to keep it on.
-- Put the container in the center of your garbage.

At first, the thought of administering a testosterone shot weekly at my home was scary. It gave me anxiety and I wasn't sure if it was the correct path of HRT for me. Once I took the leap and decided it was the best course of action, it worked out for me. The first testosterone shot at home was intimidating especially because my girlfriend was giving me my shots and it was both of our anxiety we had to battle. But once we did it the first time, we got more and more used to how I do my t shot.

Now, it is a weekly task we are able to knock out pretty quickly and I'm so thankful for it.

I still get some anxiety on the shot day, but it's eliminated pretty quickly, as the whole process takes me about 10 minutes max.

Plus once, the testosterone shot is over, T shot day is one of my favorite days of the week. I hope this testosterone shot tutorial has helped you out, whether you are FTM or just needing to administer your medication.
