Here are the team of Pokémon in this video, which was decided by the random number generator.
P1 Team: Kabutops, Noctowl, Espeon, Nidoking, Flaaffy, Aipom
CPU Team: Rattata, Slowking, Haunter, Dunsparce, Tentacruel, Houndoom
Then, I will list the moves for each Pokémon in battle, starting with my team.
Kabutops: AncientPower, Surf, Leer, Endure
Noctowl: Fly, Take Down, Confusion, Foresight
Espeon: Psybeam, Swift, Tail Whip, Psych Up
Nidoking: Horn Attack, Mud-Slap, Thunder, Horn Drill
Flaaffy: ThunderPunch, Fire Punch, Cotton Spore, Light Screen
Aipom: Strength, Double Team, Baton Pass, Agility
The CPU's team of Pokémon and moves.
Rattata: Super Fang, Headbutt, Shadow Ball, Focus Energy
Slowking: Psychic, Water Gun, Disable, Growl
Haunter: Shadow Ball, Giga Drain, Spite, Destiny Bond
Dunsparce: Strength, Dig, Attract, Glare
Tentacruel: BubbleBeam, Sludge Bomb, Wrap, Barrier
Houndoom: Ember, Bite, Swift, Roar
This was another long battle that happened, leading the fight was Aipom, while the CPU went with Dunsparce. At least I have the Baton Pass set-up Pokémon starting the fight, but the thing was that I had to take on Dunsparce at the start, and this Pokémon has a lot of HP and can paralyze my team with Glare. I found that the best way was to switch in Nidoking and use Mud-Slap to reduce Dunsparce's accuracy, and if ever it used Dig, I can switch Noctowl in to avoid damage.
The tricky part about taking on Dunsparce is keeping some of my team around for certain Pokémon, the best case is Kabutops, while it does have the advantage against Houndoom, the downside is that Houndoom has higher Speed than Kabutops, and while Espeon is faster, it does not do well against Houndoom because of the type disadvantage.
With the other Pokémon, I have Flaaffy to take on Slowking, even if it takes many hits from ThunderPunch due to Slowking's high Special Defense, I do have many options for Rattata, and while Espeon is faster, I have to watch out for Shadow Ball. Espeon also has higher Speed than Haunter, but that is another Shadow Ball user to watch out for, but at least I have Noctowl's Foresight to remove Haunter's Normal immunity, that way if ever I want to have Aipom fight it, that is an option.
Flaaffy does have the advantage against Tentacruel, but it wouldn't do that well not only because of Tentacruel's Special Defense, but also the damage from Sludge Bomb, Tentacruel is a very challenging foe, to the point where not even type advantages help because of its Special Defense. Espeon can handle Tentacruel, but it cannot switch in, and Espeon is faster, as I have went over with most of the other Pokémon on the CPU side.
