An onX Offroad review from 2015 mentioned the mountainous dirt road hadn't been worked on since 2010, and it had deteriorated significantly in those five years. Now, a decade later, witness nature's handiwork and see how the trail has evolved.

From Phoenix, take Hwy 60 East towards Superior. The turn off is on Hwy 60 East ~5.5 miles beyond the intersection of Hwy 60 & 177.

• General trail directions - planned (trail signs are rare):
Total distance: ~10 miles each way
1. The parking area is ~0.25 mile of 4-wheel drive road in - over 4,200’ in altitude (Coordinates: 33.32872, -111.02601). We parked 4 rigs with trailers & SxS. There was room for a couple more.
2. Right out of the parking area on Devil’s Canyon/FR2466. Rated 6/10. There are more trail numbers if you take Devil’s Canyon to its’ end. We didn’t go that far.
3. Enjoy the ridge top views. If you love rocks, you are in nirvana. If you love going fast you are in the wrong place. Take the same route back to your starting point.
