Mr. and Mrs. SAK59 - Angel's Envy Bourbon and the Smoker

My kids gave me a Yuletide gift of a cocktail smoker and...a month later gave me a bottle of Angel's Envy for my birthday. That was a remarkable gift as about a week earlier I had been given a sample of Angel's Envy at a Liquor Mart near my home. The price was rather high so (even though I really liked the sample) I didn't feel at ease buying the bottle. I hadn't mentioned the incident to anyone. It was a complete coincidence.

Our daughter asked us to make a video when we make a smoked old fashioned with the Angel's Envy and...well, what with my Youtube Channel, I figured...Okay.

So here's that video. I'm no pro when it comes to nosing and tasting Bourbon so I did none of that, but I have had a fair number of Bourbons and am really starting to understand what I like and what I don't. My wife is a few steps behind me in experience, but is also starting to realize that there is a lot to enjoy with Bourbon. She is finding her own taste profile.

The Old Fashioned is definitely our favourite cocktail and when we are on the road, the smoked old-fashioned is a hands-down first choice.
