Some time back, I restored a Carlton Machine Tool Co., Radial Drill to use in my machine shop. The time had come for me to finally move it into place and lag it to the concrete floor. I first moved the machine using a pallet jack and machinery skates to where I wanted it and then using a toe jack, I lowered it to just a few inches off the floor. A hammer drill was used to drill four 1" diameter holes in the concrete floor and four concrete anchors were installed in place. The machine was then bolted to the floor. This should prevent the machine from ever tipping over when the radial arm is swung out to the sides.
