Venice | Italy | Mini Vlog | September 2022

"VENICE IN A DAY" MINI VLOG! Come explore the beautiful Italian island of Venice with me. We organised this tour through our TUI reps during our holiday in Bardolino, Lake Garda in September 2022. This package included return transportation, the walking tour and a ferry island tour!

This was my first ever visit to both Venice and Italy in general. It's safe to say, I was not disappointed! Although I stayed in Lake Garda for a week during this trip, I decided to dedicate this video just to Venice, as there is so much you can see in a short space of time! As a Spiderman fan, it was epic to visit the Rialto Bridge! I had to do a TikTok dance in front of this famous landmark - no shame! The gondolas looked so fun but we opted for a good walk around the city and a ferry tour of the island.

We took a 2 hour coach ride from Bardolino to Venice which was pretty stress-free. I know you can also travel in by train, which I'd love to experience next time! Although it ended up causing some minor dramas, I think I'm also grateful we got to experience the famous Venice floods! It was a truly beautiful day all round and the sun was definitely with us. It's crazy how quickly the water levels rise and fall again!

To rate Venice in a day trip, I would happily score this part of my Italian travels a solid 10/10 - just wish we had more time to enjoy it more! If you can get an early train/ferry on your visit, it was super nice to experience a quieter Venice earlier in the morning before the crowds arrived. We found a great lunch spot right under Rialto Bridge (which didn't get flooded) and even had time for some shopping whilst we awaited our ferry home - I had to purchase a beautiful Venetian mask!
