Johnny Cash serves as honorary ringmaster for the 106th edition of the 1976 Blue Unit production of "The Greatest Show On Earth".
The company operated two different traveling shows in the USA, called units, designated by color (red and blue), and whose programs were called editions. Since the two major units alternated their programs annually starting in 1969, the blue show always took place in even-numbered years, and the red show always in odd-numbered years.
