In this video, we find the resultant force, location angles and direction from the given component vectors. This problem is solved by combing the component vectors to form a single final resultant force by using one of the following three dimensional methods: directional cosines or transverse and azmuth angles.

Problem statement:
The screw eye is subjected to the two forces shown. Express each force in Cartesian Vector form and then determine the resultant force in Cartesian Vector form. Find the magnitude and coordinate direction angles of the resultant force.

Problem walkthrough steps:
Look at each applied component force separately
Find or determine the x, y, and z directional component forces for each starting component force
Sum all the x directional component forces together. Then sum all the y directional component forces together. Then finally sum all the z directional component forces together.
Square root the sum of the squares of the total summations in each direction to find the resultant force.
-Use the directional cosines to determine the directional arrow for the resultant force
