In ❤️ w/ Leavenworth, WA | Hiking, Mountain Biking, Paddle Boarding Paradise | Airstream Camping

Washington has been amazing so far, but between toilet 💩 problems and unexpected snow ❄️ it hasn’t all been smooth sailing! In this video, we’ll show you some MUST-DO activities around Leavenworth, WA.

We have absolutely loved spending time here, and are reluctant to move on.

When we weren’t busy trying to fix our toilet, we were out exploring the massive amount of recreation around Leavenworth. There is so much to do, from hiking to mountain biking to paddling gorgeous lakes and rivers. You’ll get a taste of all of that in this video.

Here are some highlights:

Icicle Gorge is a fantastic hiking trail that is well worth the short drive from down. You’ll be treated to near constant views of a roaring river, while strolling along the mellow 4.5 mile trail. You’ll also see some of the area’s other hiking options in this video, but we have some advice before you go!

In addition to hiking, there are also endless opportunities for a good paddle around Leavenworth, whether on a SUP or kayak. We took our paddle boards to Lake Wenatchee, which turned out to be one of our all-time favorite spots to paddle.

Leavenworth is also known for the miles of nearby mountain bike trails (you can hike these, too, if that’s more your thing). Join us for a ride down Freund Canyon, a seemingly nonstop roller coaster of dirt.

And of course, you have to spend time in the town itself, which perfectly resembles a Bavarian mountain town. You’ll find amazing food, beer gardens, coffee, and grocery stores—everything you could possibly need.

We boondocked in our Airstream outside of Leavenworth near Nason Creek Campground for 10 nights, and we can’t wait to come back. But for now, we’re exploring more of what Washington has to offer. Join us next time as we head for the coast!

Some things we love, and you would, too:

We chose the Sport because it has three fins for better tracking, bungee tie downs in the front, and D-rings in the back. It's also a little narrower for faster paddling.
