This store has a grocery cart elevator thats pretty cool.
It’s not a new concept (Target apparently put its first cart escalator in a store in La Mesa, California in 1995),
the conveyor is equipped with a sensor to know when a cart is being loaded onto it. It turns off automatically after 15 minutes of non-use in order to save power, and can even detect when a child is still in the cart and will shut off automatically until the child is removed.
