Classic Cars restoration Fiat 1913 Tipo 5

The valuable Fiat created in 1913, once belonged to Pyotr Nikolayevich Wrangel, an officer in the imperial russian empire and later commanding general of the anti-Bolshevik White Army in Southern Russia in the later stages of the Russian Civil War. the the 99 year old car was discovered in a garage in russia by jan bruijn from Galleria style & auto in joure.
The 50/60 HP Tipo 5 was Fiat’s topmodel. Tipo 5 (Drive shaft) and Tipo 6 ( Chain Drive) where made from 1911 to 1916. both car’s competed with the best from competitor Mercedes. The total production counted 457 car’s for Model Tipo 5 and 86 for model 6. Wrangel’s Fiat was built in 1913, only 14 cars were built this year. Wrangel’s Tipo 5 was equipped with a 50/60 HP Tipo 55a Motor with 9.025 cc. as a special order the car was built with a tipo 6-chassis and with the Tipo 5 Drive shaft. Fiat placed the steering wheel in a sportier position. as was customary with cars equipped with the sports chassis. as an extra function the chassis was equipped with double tyres/wheels on the rear end. the car was probably never used after 1928. Which would explain the original condition of the fiat, showing no signs of ever being repaired or restored.
