2026 January 2nd: Arma 3, 420th Delta Public Server... new guy's first time trying co-op multiplayer

Less than an hour ago I booted up some Arma 3... and decided to go on a whim and try some co-op multiplayer for the first time and record it... even though I had barely finished the Arma 3 tutorial missions... (only remember finishing the part where I have to drive a vehicle for the first time in one of the tutorial missions, and that was about 2-3 weeks ago or more... memory is very rusty because of that lol)

About 49 mins of gameplay before the server shutdown/restarted. The beginning was mostly me trying to get used to some things and trying to remember some basic controls... got flown to where I think the frontlines were a few times lol -- first time by someone name Danie, and later by another player who was transporting me and another fellow in a vehicle.

Followed a few players around blindly trying to feel useful (not really lol), followed a fella named Sandstorm for abit, then SeaBass later (I saw him chattin' in the chatbox so I figured he might know what he was doing). Unfortunately being the o' dunce I was, I got injured and my character started walking slowly lol.

I was too stubborn to respawn (I don't like respawning unless I die lol) ... so I started hiking around on foot trying to catch up to people -- but the team cleared the objective in the area and eventually started to move on to an objective/target further south. I continued to limp along trying to go to nearby buildings hoping to find medical supplies eventually... but with the server restart coming, I didn't bother asking for a lift or for help in chat.

Video isn't too interested if your looking for more fast-paced action... quite a few times I was alt-tabbed briefly checking on other things, so the screen may freeze at some times too. Mostly recorded this for my own sake and to rewatch later in the future. But I'll make it public in case anyone is interested lol, for whatever reason.

I did hear some other fellas/folks talking on the mic a few times -- wasn't using a mic myself, I focus on using the chatbox/text. Didn't know if anyone was talking to me at times -- I was still getting oriented to how the game works and trying to get my bearings lol! (Maybe I should have finished the tutorial instead of being impatient and jumping into a co-op/public multiplayer server :P)

Sorry if I messed up anything for anyone (especially the SeaBass fellow, was worried maybe I drew attention to you lol, close to 33:18, only realized afterwards)

Lots of the video at 36:00 you can skip if you want -- it's mostly me alone (with an injured leg and no medical items) stumbling around trying to figure out what to do lol. I was too stubborn to respawn, so I tried to hike back to where the team was at the time, but once the objective location changed and people started leaving that area/moving out, I switched to trying to find medical items in nearby buildings... and eventually the server restarted and I stopped the recorded there lol.

Was still lots of fun... I plan to drop by again at some point, this seems to be the kind of co-op gaming experience that I might enjoy for a long time... large scale map, co-op/PVE based... military/shooter... not too serious with rules and protocol/procedures (since it's a public server), but still serious enough people work together. =)
