I cover the differences between troponin T, troponin I and troponin C, how we use the tests to detect myocardial injury, how we differentiate between acute and chronic injury and how we decide if the diagnosis is acute myocardial infarction. I also cover how we can use cardiac troponin tests to rapidly rule in or rule out myocardial infarction in emergency settings, including in ambulances.
