3 Easy, Make-Ahead, Thanksgiving Appetizers

Thanksgiving is upon us and today we're showing you 3 easy, make-ahead appetizers perfect to start your Thanksgiving Dinner celebrations! (Scroll down for links to the recipes).

Not only can these Thanksgiving appetizers be made ahead of time, which is one of our cardinal rules for hosting a party but these three easy recipes take less than 15 minutes each to prepare, and everyone loves them.

For years, The Wine Sisters' founder and Chief Sommelier, Erin Henderson, would start off Thanksgiving dinner with a beautiful cheeseboard, overflowing with goodies, everyone loved it – too much. After feasting all afternoons on cheese, no one had room for Thanksgiving dinner – arguably the star of the day!

So Erin quickly changed her appetizer strategy, to snacks that would satiate, but not stuff. And in today's video she's showing you 3 easy, seasonal, Thanksgiving appetizers that you can make ahead of time for stress free entertaining.

Thanksgiving appetizers include crunchy, buttery, Parmesan twists; creamy, earthy white bean dip with roast garlic and rosemary; and sweet and salty butternut squash soup with blue cheese. Get the recipes through the links below!

🍂Parmesan Cheese Twists🍂

1 sheet of frozen puff pastry
1 egg beaten lightly with water
Flour, for dusting
1 cup grated Parmesan
Pinch of salt
Freshly ground pepper, to taste
Pinch of cayenne

Thaw the puff pastry over night in fridge
Preheat the oven to 400°F
On a floured surface, roll out pastry into a 11x8 (or so) rectangle
Brush lightly with egg wash
Mix the Parmesan with salt, pepper, and cayenne
Spread evenly on one half of the puffy pastry and fold the empty side over, like a book
Lightly roll out the folded pastry to push the cheese into the dough
Brush with more egg wash
Slice horizontally into 1 inch strips
Twist each strip and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet
Lightly dot with more egg wash and sprinkle with remaining cheese
Bake for about 15 minutes until golden and puffy

🍂To Make in Advance: 🍂
Bake off the day before and store tightly sealed in a plastic bag OR prepare the twists an hour or two ahead of time, and store raw twists on the sheet in the fridge until guests arrive and bake off when ready (only do this an hour or two ahead of time.)
