Using a GoPro MAX for sailing videos

I used my GoPro MAX for taking video of a regatta I was in recently and I’d like to share what I learned in the process.
Bottom line, I think the MAX is a great tool for capturing the sometimes frantic, always fun experience of sailboat racing. The GoPro app for iOS makes it much easier to edit video than I’ve seen with my old GoPros. However, rendering 360 video adds significant time to the workflow.
One thing I need to learn and practice more is generating highlights by voice prompt, to save time looking through all the footage. One thing I do that already saves time is to keep each clip relatively short. I do like to keep the camera running during the starting sequence and mark roundings, as these tend to be when boats meet and where the action is.
