Support Young People through Work Experience - Thrive at Work Webinar - 20th August 2025.
Thrive at work is supporting the West Midlands Mayor’s Youth Employment Plan, we're calling on local employers to help create 20,000 work experience placements, training opportunities, and apprenticeships for young people.
Modern work experience is no longer just a traditional week in the office. It can be an hour, a day or a short project anything that helps a young person build confidence, develop skills and gain real insight into the world of work.
Covering:
• What meaningful work experience looks like today
• How to overcome common barriers like safeguarding, hybrid working and risk assessments
• Practical ways to connect with young people looking for placements
• How to make your impact count towards the Mayor’s Pledge
