For this Pilates Reformer workout Abs & Back Allegro 2 infinity bar workout (beginner-intermediate) bring the Allegro 2 Footbar to the 4th position with one blue button spring. The setup for this abs and back infinity bar workout is key to keeping your spine connected to the mat surface on the Reformer and maintaining your form using your core. When you are supine and performing these core exercises on the reformer, your back will want to arch or lift off the mat; however, use your deep core stabilizers to maintain a connection to the mat surface.
Setting: Allegro 2 Footbar position 4 with 1 blue button spring
▷ Practice this Pilates Reformer workout as it demands a lot of work from your core by creating tension and isometric contraction per exercise. Your back and upper body will be working to stabilize your shoulders as you perform the Pilates infinity bar rowing exercises.
▷ For each infinity footbar Reformer exercise, complete 5-10 reps and focus on those isometric holds under the infinity footbar. Follow along as I have added a few Pilates Mat exercises (hundred prep, oblique reach, and crisis cross) to focus on more abdominals performed on the Reformer mat surface.
