In the video, I show you how to add Shorts to playlists—but it’s important to be strategic. While Shorts monetization is now part of the YouTube Partner Program, they follow a different revenue model and their watch time doesn’t count toward the 4,000 hours required for monetizing long-form videos. Also, Shorts in playlists don’t play in the vertical Shorts feed, so they can look a bit clunky, especially when mixed with long-form content. I recommend adding them to their own themed playlists or only including them in mixed playlists when they truly enhance the viewer experience.
