Day four on the Camino Portuguese started in Barcelos at 9:15am. We decided to walk separately for the beginning of the day with the idea of meeting up down the trail later. Our original plan was to stay in Aborim, but when we reached the town, we were feeling good and wanted to keep walking. I stopped by the guesthouse we had booked to let them know and they wished us a Bom Caminho and off we went. The walk was beautiful today and the sun was shining; however, it was a bit of a hot one, especially for mid March! We tried to get a room at a few different places, but they were booked so I contacted our host for tomorrow night and he had availability tonight as well. Kept walking for as long as my feet would carry me, but ended up having to get a ride for the last 2 miles or so. This was a long day for us at 16 miles of walking in 7 1/2 hours.
Meet some wonderful new friends at our guesthouse in Facha and we all shared an incredible meal together that our host Han cooked (with a bit of help from yours truly). We decided to take tomorrow off and stay another night in Facha.
