A History of the Pirate Bay through its home page

As much as TPB tries to decentralize it depends on concentrated attention on its home page to spread its political message. In my paper We Like Copies, But Don’t Let the Others Fool You: The Paradox of the Pirate Bay, I describe this paradox of The Pirate Bay.

It is difficult in a paper to cover eight years of Internet history so I thought I would make a video that chronicles the evolution of TPB’s home page. Each image is a snapshot of the home page made by the Internet archive. As we can see, its design remains the same, but its Doodle changes from time to time to promote events, rallies or even the launch of its Promo Bay initiative.
