Mogok–Momeik: Junta Camp Captured Despite China’s Pressure

The junta claims that it has regained control of the Ta'ang National Liberation Army - TNLA-controlled towns of Mogok and Momeik with the help of China, boasting that they retook the areas without firing a single shot.

In response, the National Unity Government (NUG), the Ministry of Defense, and the People’s Defense Force (PDF) Central Command have released an official statement regarding the latest situation in the Mogok–Momeik region. The statement says that the Mogok–Momeik Regional Military Operations Command has been organizing local PDFs and PaKaFa (People’s Administration Forces) and is closely supervising military operations under a unified command structure.

In Ayeyarwady Region, including Pathein District, Pathein Township, Thabaung Township, Yekyi Township, Laymyethna Township, and Hinthada Township (a total of five townships), clashes have occurred between the Arakan Army (AA), joint resistance forces and PaKaFa units against the junta. Due to heavy casualties on the junta’s side, Tin Maung Win personally made a second ritual visit to Myat Maw Tin Pagoda, performing a traditional dragon-offering ritual.

In Mandalay Region, in Madaya Township and Sintgaing Township, revolutionary forces carried out ambush attacks against advancing junta military columns.
