We've got the update on the Magcon crew break-up -- so are they aren't they? That seems to be the questions on everyone's minds today following a supposed break-up on Thursday -- an event which has caused some very upsetting reactions from fans, including a twitter hashtag that has multiple fans posting pictures of themselves inflicting self-harm and using the hashtag #CutForMagcon. While insiders say that things within the Magcon family are rocky as of now, the group's official twitter just tweeted out to say "Our team is working on an official statement to help clarify and explain everything. Just hang tight!" But this doesn't mean the whole crew is still intact. MagCon Tour's twitter had the following conversation with a fan that started off with the official twitter saying "Magcon is not ending!" to which a fan responded "yeah but you won't have the regular people anymore so technically it's over," and the Magcon twitter made this response: "That's not ture. People may come and go, but the event and idea behind it is the same." The event being referred to here is almost like a mini-travelling VidCon where fans of the Magcon family, which includes some of YouTube and Vine's biggest stars like Aaron Carpenter and Cameron Dallas, head out meet and chill with fans -- it's literally just an opportunity to Meet and Greet (aka the Mag part of con). Jack Johnson spoke up to say that some of the fam is leaving for good and he later clarified to say that this whole situation is not a joke, but it QUOTE "doesn't mean we aren't still brothers. Just finding better opportunities." Carter Reynolds tweeted to say QUOTE "I'm gonna miss the family. Love y'all." And Cameron Dallas said "No matter who's in or out we are still family." And finally Nash Grier went on the record with a video on his YouTube channel to say that while he is leaving Magcon, the only change is that he won't be using that name.
It doesn't change his relationship with any of the other people in the crew. In fact, he and Cam are moving in together and are planning a ton of stuff together in the future, and they also share the same management team. The most important thing is that there is zero bad blood here and Nash says the only mistake was the way the info came out. Overall for Nash, this is good news because he says that he's happier now. Obviously all of the exact details here are still be sorted out, but we just really want to encourage people out there to absolutely stay away from any sort of self-harm.
