Come See Scenic Silent Hill! part 3

Welcome SimuSquad another glorious adventure through Silent Hill on Playstation 1! It has been a spooky adventure, but this episode is a long one. We get a lot done, and cover a lot of ground in this one. Get ready for adventure!

Last episode, we left off in the lobby of the hospital after meeting the good doctor. It felt like a good place to end and a great place to start! First up, we have to explore the first floor of the building. This seems like a simple task, but this is Silent Hill. We have to move up and down the building as we open doors and complete puzzles, find keys, and fight a new monster type. It comes in two forms, nurse and doctor. They seem to be controlled by a parasite on their back to make them attack. We also find an item that allows us to pick up another mysterious item. These will be needed in the future. Probably. Who knows. After going up and down the hospital in Silent Hill, we take an elevator up to Otherworld's hospital. This is swarming with more evil hospital personnel. More hints to items to complete puzzles later, and we soon find a new fellow survivor named Lisa Garland. She's a nurse in the basement of the Otherhospital, and terrified. We talk to her until sirens start echoing through Harry Mason's head. Harry wakes up back in Silent Hill's hospital, and see Dahlia again. She tells us more cryptic crap, and leaves Harry alone again as tells her to stop. She ignores him again as she leaves. We head to the antique shop in the northeast corner as we run like hell from monsters. We make a few pit stops on the way there. Once we reach the antique shop, we meet Cybil again. Harry tries to explain what is going on, but Cybil doesn't believe him. Which is fair. Harry enters a hole in the wall, and finds an altar to an unknown god. We find a new weapon before the altar lights, and Harry returns to Otherworld in the Hospital with Lisa. Cybil is confused by the disappearance of Harry. Harry talks to Lisa and learns more about the history of Silent Hill. Once we learn this, we lose consciousness again and wake back up at the Antique Store. This time it is Otherworld, and we have to make our way into Silent Hill Town Center while leading a parade I didn't want. This will be a common these in this segment of the adventure. In the mall, we see video of Cheryl before the screen goes back to the sigil we keep seeing. We explore a bit before we fall into a boss battle with a giant worm that keeps moving through the sand. We kill it with the trusty shotgun, and find a new weapon! After we get out of the mall, we head back to the hospital to get directions to the lake from Lisa to find Cheryl. She tells us that we need to take sewers from over near the school. Luckily, the game just takes up to the sewers, and we enter them. It's a relatively straight trip, but we do get new enemies to fight who can attack from the ceiling. Once through, we pop up in the far side of town.

This part of town is dark and full of enemies that I'm not prepared to fight. I keep finding parades that I lead around as I run around in a panic in the dark without a map. Eventually, I find one after going through several buildings. In one, we find Dr. Michael Kaufmann. He is being attacked by a monster, and we save him. We talk and he storms off. Where he was attacked, we find some items that point us to a motel. We take the items and once again walk into the dark. Eventually we find the map and head to the motel before we meet the doctor again after finding a mysterious liquid. Once we have completed that quest, we head down toward the waterfront. As we get close, we see Otherworld start to encroach on Silent Hill. We continue down, and head down to the docks running in terror from monsters the whole time. Eventually, we find a boat to take breather on with Cybil before Dahlia shows up to tell us that Harry needs to go to both to the top of the lighthouse, and the amusement park to save his daughter. Cybil volunteers to go the amusment park while Harry goes to the lighthouse. This leads to more paniced running until we reach our destination. We get to the top just in time to see a woman fade away. We run around up top a bit before heading back down and heading to the amusment park to find Cybil. After a quick sewer trip to the park, we find a save point and call it a stream!
