Growing up me and my dad had always built bikes and hot rods. My dad became sick with Liver Cancer, and had a mass the size of a grapefruit removed from his liver. When he got home from the hospital he decided that he had always wanted a 55 Bel Air 2 door post. But the time against him and the lack of funds we found this four door locally in his price range. He started off real good on it but the cancer came back and made him too weak to do the work himself. I was helping him all I could but we was moving very slowly. A family friend contacted me and propose the ideal of doing a one day build. All the parts and components would be donated as well as the labor. My dad has helped many of people throughout the years so there was a lot of people that wanted to give back. It took us months of planning and preparation. Since Dad has got the car back he has been in the shop almost every day doing something to it. It makes me happy to see him in good spirit and out in the shop again.
