Word of the Year Art Journal Collage

In this video, Jenny shares how she turned her Word of the Year, Inspire, into an art journal collage using painted papers, Gelli prints, and simple mixed-media techniques.

She begins by creating her own painted papers with a gelli plate, then cuts them into flowers using a flower punch to build a layered collage background. From there, the word Inspire is designed with washi tape, embellished with a gold acrylic marker, and glued over the collage to bring the page together.

This process is all about creative play, using what you already have, and letting meaning guide the art instead of perfection.

Next up, Jenny will be making a pocket for leftover scraps using a recycled envelope and washi tape, because nothing goes to waste around here.
