In this excerpt, students sing the do pentatonic scale using hand signs to different rhythms. They then demonstrate how to sing the do and la pentatonic scales starting on the same pitch. In the second half of the excerpt, students further develop their aural perception through the use of the do pentatonic scale. Various notes are omitted and replaced by body percussion, assisting the students in developing their inner hearing.
