Day 56 wild my wild Mustang

11-03-2025: Day 56 with my wild baby Mustang, Taavi!

This evening we did more groundwork… because you can never do too much! We worked on swinging the lead rope around and on him, putting it around his hind end and unwinding him. We also worked with the lunge whip touching him, moving all over around him, and up in the air. Then we worked on walking through a couple obstacles. I folded the tarp up differently and put a mat over it. He walked right over it! Then we did some 360’s on the front end in the box and finally ground tying. I have this crazy dream of teaching him to drive, so we’ll work our way up to ground driving just in case that actually happens. I know nothing about driving, but this little guy of mine is SO smart that I’m sure he’s going to exceed at anything I throw at him. When Taavi was all relaxed and chilled out, Shimmy started chasing after Enzo and Taavi didn’t care at all. Shimmy was very jealous tonight, but still came over for some attention when I was done working with Taavi. He tried taking my hat off and was all up in my business.
